Murmur is built to play without an account. Mix, timer, overnight hold, last night, and install preference live in this browser unless you sign in or join a test.
If you sign in we store account id, email (if given), saved night titles, layer gains, and session traces (duration, overnight, wake lock, interruption count). We do not sell this. We do not advertise with it.
Tester waitlist stores the email, name, platform, and note you type on /testers — even if you are not signed in. That list is only for Play / TestFlight invites. It is not an account.
Weather uses the browser location prompt, then sends coordinates to Open-Meteo to pick a mix. We do not store your location. Decline the prompt and the feature does nothing.
Compose sends only the sentence you type to xAI (Grok). Never your library or email. Compose never runs on page load.
Google or X see a sign-in if you choose those buttons. Session cookies stay on this origin.
No analytics SDK. No advertising identifier. No crash reporter that leaves this app.
Retention. Local mixes stay in this browser until you clear site data. Signed-in nights stay until you delete them or delete your account. Tester emails stay until you ask us to remove them, or until you delete an account that uses the same email.
Deletion. Settings → Delete account removes your Murmur user row, saved nights, and sessions immediately. Google and X keep their own accounts. Email hello@byjtt.com if you cannot sign in.
